HR Coordinator
Good Apple is a highly specialized media and measurement agency. We develop impactful, people-first paid media strategies for brands that care to make a difference in the pharma and retail space. While this role is primarily remote, we do have four weeks per year where we come together as a full agency and work together in person. These weeks are hosted in fun locations like Latin America and Canada.
Position Overview:
Good Apple’s People Team is seeking a talented HR Coordinator to join our team remotely. The HR Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, culture & events, operations, and HR admin support. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, virtual work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Responsibilities:
- Assist the recruitment process by posting job openings across various platforms, managing applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial screenings.
- Maintaining a high-touch, relationship-focused candidate experience, setting expectations of the recruiting process and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Provide consistent and timely updates to internal hiring team, external agencies and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Screen resumes and external applications to identify qualified candidates for open positions, and manage internal referrals.
- Assist with campus recruiting to select students for Good Apple’s summer internship program
- Employee Engagement Responsibilities:
- Coordinate onboarding process for new hires, including set up in platforms, preparing new hire teams with necessary materials and ensuring new hires have support throughout their onboarding process
- Work with Culture Manager to brainstorm, plan, and execute company-wide culture events, including 4 international quarterly trips, monthly culture events, volunteer activities, and more!
- Manage the HR monthly newsletter informing the agency of people updates, milestones, exciting agency news, and employee recognition.
- Help route HR-related inquiries from employees and managers to the appropriate HR team lead, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
- HR Admin Responsibilities:
- Coordinate travel and other logistics related to conference attendance for attending employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee org charts to ensure proper team plans and total company visibility
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.
- Staying informed of HR and Media/Advertising industry trends and researching best practices in recruiting and employee engagement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience or working knowledge of Excel; Google Docs, Sheets, & Slides; Project Management Platforms like Monday.com or any HRIS systems is a plus!
- Ability to thrive in an autonomous, mostly remote setting, where you are responsible for planning your tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, especially in a remote setting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
